Thorpe Theme Park - London
It just happened that I was recently in Thorpe Theme Park. It’s one of the around-London attractions. I was positively surprised by amount of fun I got in there. Thorpe is much smaller then Alton Towers but all rides and fun stuff are much closer to each other, so you don’t have to walk miles to get from ride to ride. I went there with my Wife and brother-in-law and we have spent 10 hours in there having a lot of fun. The best ride for us was Colossus. Its really good, traditional roller coaster. Track length is 850m and it’s doing 10 loops during complete ride. The greatest speed is 89 km/h and biggest G force is 4G positive. Total ride takes 90 seconds. We went 3 times on it. It was really cool.
Other this that was quite nice was Loggers Leap that is water ride. We were sitting in a big piece of wood going through water track and there were two drops one in a completely dark tunnel and second something around 20 meters drop with splash. Didn’t get so wet at the end. Very nice I do recommend that. Last drop looks a little bit like that:
- Nemessis (roller coaster with track above troleys)
- X:/ no way out (roller coaster in the dark going backwards, cool, broke during our ride and we got extra ticket for Colossus )
- Slamer (uuuu… tuff stuff for tuff people, really scary)
- Tidal wave (big water splash)
- Zodiak
- Vertex (nice rush)
- Pizza Hut buffet (lots of food)
These are pictures taken by track cameras on Colossus and Loggers Leap

We haven’t ride Stealth and Detonator cause they were closed but we had a lot of fun anyway
